First of all, I want you to know — you’re not alone. When I started homeschooling over 14 years ago, I went through the very same struggles you might be facing right now.
I spent months researching, trying different methods, and chasing that “perfect” homeschool. But by Allah’s mercy, life slowed me down. What felt like a test at the time turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
In that pause, I began to truly see my child — to notice the quiet, beautiful work of Allah (swt) in their growth and development. I realized that children are naturally built to learn, and that the biggest barrier was actually… me. All my own schooling, expectations, and ideas of what learning should look like were getting in the way.
Over time — and with a lot of learning, unlearning, and reflection — I started to understand my real role as a mother and guide.
